Thickening drums are similar to thickening tables focusing on the force of gravity to filter sludge. Contrary to the belt in a thickening table which is mounted horizontally on a table surface, the filter belt on thickening drums is mounted on a rotating drum. Due to their compact construction and their smaller filtration surface thickening drums are ideal for dewatering sludge flows to a capacity of 50 m³ / h.
Just as thickening tables drums are often used in combination with a filter press or sieve belt press because they increase the separation efficiency at a very low cost, and without any supervision.
